The Yamaha MM6 is great, but it is only fair to compare!

Now knowing all of these great features about the Yamaha MM6 doesn’t necessarily mean that this is the right keyboard for you. So with that being said let’s stop to compare some of Yamaha’s other keyboards that may be competition for the Yamaha MM6. Starting with the Yamaha S90ES which is retailed at $2,099.99 and with very high reviews from the Yamaha keyboard community it is clearly a keyboard worth talking about. Even though the Yamaha S90ES is 49 pounds it is still very light given the fact that it is a 88 key keyboard. Even though it isn’t as light in weight as the Yamaha MM6 it still is exceptional for its capabilities. Some of its features include realistic piano sounds, smooth 88-key balanced hammer keyboard action, a remarkable option to program a variety of filters and it also is expandable with optional synthesis plug-in boards. So if the price doesn’t have an effect on you then you can truly compare based on features alone.

What other keyboards compare to the Yamaha MM6?

Even though there are many keyboards that we can talk about and compare I decided the last two key boards that we will discuss is the Yamaha Motif XF8 and the Yamaha MO8. The Yamaha MM6 and the Motif XF8 can both be deemed new age because they both offer the high expectations of the new generation of electronics. For instance the Yamaha Motif XF8 now has a new iPAD application that allows you play, mix, edit and tweak wirelessly from your iPAD.  Whereas the Yamaha MO8 and the Yamaha S90ES both are 88 key keyboards that are a lot more heavier in weight than the Yamaha MM6 but they do incorporate a few more extra features. The Yamaha MM6 and the Yamaha MO8 are both great for beginners so that is always something to consider if you are a newbie. With the way technology and music co inside finding the right keyboard that fits its important so be wise when deciding my friends.  Happy choosing!
